Dumplings, this fall the publishing world delivers unto us the decorating Bible: Miles Redd's "The Big Book of Chic." 300 pages filled with 150 illustrations.
From the introduction:
"This is a book about dreams coming true; the curiosities in the rooms I have decorated; and the people, artists, and places that have inspired me. When all is said and done and I am long forgotten, maybe someone will find this book in a dusty library—if such a thing still exists—and glimpse a bit of the pleasure my life has given me. I want them to have the sensation of dancing across an MGM soundstage, silhouetted in a klieg light, because that was my intention with this book, a very personal blend of work and fantasy." - Miles Redd

I pre-ordered mine about a month ago. I can hardly wait for it to be published. Miles Redd is my absolute favourite!
Off to order it! I need a big dose of chic.
I'll order it just for the top hat leaping photo!
How can a man be so ridiculously good-looking and talented? If he made a deal with the devil, give me said devil's number, please.
Read a review from the Huffington Post last night about it and they raved! It is on my wish list - may have to be a holiday gift at this price point! M.

Oh my Gawd. When I saw him speak earlier this year in Nashville, he hinted at a book but I hadn't heard much about this. It will be my bible!
